Rally de Nueva Zelanda,menos de 50 pilotos tomarán la salida
Cuarenta y ocho coches figuran en la lista de inscritos para tomar parte en la penúltima prueba del Campeonato del Mundo 2006, el Rally de Nueva Zelanda.
El Rally de Nueva Zelanda también será la última prueba puntuable de la temporada para el Campeonato del Mundo de Producción.
En cuanto a los equipos WRC, cinco de los seis estarán en Hamilton. Los tres equipos de la categoría Constructores 1 (Kronos Citroën WRT, Ford World Rally Team y Subaru World Rally Team) y dos de la categoría Constructores 2 (OMV Peugeot Norway y Stobart VK M-Sport Ford Rally Team). El equipo Red Bull Skoda Team decidió no acudir a la cita neocelandesa.
